Wow...

Some of you might remember that youtube video a few years ago with the black guy doing the PSA with the white girl in the elevator?...No?...Well....alrighty.

Anyway, I absolutely love this man's videos and he has one that I found interesting so I posted it here. Be sure to subscribe to his YouTube page. As exaggerated as some may be, he is actually pointing out true life situations, especially with this video.

New Job Alert!

Obama needs a Twitterer!

According to the WSJ.com, "Mia Cambronero, who currently holds the job, “will be stepping down from my infamous role as ‘Barack Obama’s twitterer,’” she said in an email message posted to a listserv. “We’re looking for someone who is available to start immediately.”
The new hire will work closely with the rest of the new media department to execute grassroots campaigns to advance the President’s agenda for change, the listing says. Among the qualifications sought: “Ready to work hard; this isn’t a 9-5 sort of job.”
Obama’s team used the Internet, email, text messaging and social-media tools throughout his candidacy. He now has more than three million followers on Twitter and nearly 7.5 million Facebook fans."
Of course you would have to move to DC, and I'm sure you would have to be somewhat interested in politics, since you will be tweeting about it all day. I wonder how much it pays?
I'm trying to find the link to submit the application so that I can post it here for you guys, but I can't seem to find it...

We Are The World 2010

During the 2010 Olympics, the We Are The World 25 for Haiti remake premiered featuring Lil Wayne, Pink, Fergie, Miley Cyrus, LL cool J, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, Pussycat Dolls, Will I Am, Jamie Foxx, T-Pain, Usher & many many more. What do you guys think of it? I posted the remake AND the original below. Although the remake does feature new artist, some things are just classics. This song, in my opinion. is one of them.

Remake

Original

I was actually feeling the remake until the end with the autotune solos and the 'Head Sprung' rap lyrics....I could have done without those but I get the bigger picture. [And where was Fantaisia? They could've added her too lol] SMH at that Justin kid starting it off, am I the only one that thinks that kid's voice is ANNOYING?! Ugh...I have a few issues with this, but for now I'll just keep my mouth shut :)

You Want WHO to Do WHAT?!

So yesterday, with all the hoopblah over Lil'Wayne going to jail [btw, he's not waiting until March 2, because they had to get rid of those diamond toofeses...], someone thought up an idea, Why not have President Obama pardon LilWayne?

If you are currently lifting your jaw up from off the floor then congratulations, you have common sense. This person argues that LilWayne is not a threat to society and actually supports his community. That simply because he had a gun, does not mean that he planned to use it. Yes...I carry guns just for the hell of it too. Often times pulling the triggering to make sure it still works O_o

Look, I love Lil'Wayne. I've followed him since he was just the lil kid that jumped on Juve's tracks rocking the Nike sweatband and a mini fro. But if you're going to jail, there is a reason. I don't agree that jail should be the consequence for all, especially since so many of our black men are getting thrown in there for petty crimes. BUT, just because you're a "celebrity" I don't think that is enough reason to think the President himself should grant him a pardon! Hell, there are plenty of people trapped in the prison system who probably don't deserve to be there. But because they don't make millions of dollars, or contribute thousands in donations or even sing on the damn "We Are The World" remake, THEY should just be ignored while WeezyF.Baby gets out? He's already getting 8months! Thats NOTHING compared to what would happen if Dekalb County caught me with an illegal gun in my car. #hohaveaseat At the end of the day, lil'Wayne will get out, make music and make more money. People need to stop worrying about the people who have and worry about the have-nots because those are the ones waiting for the spotlight.

John Mayer Says Alot...

John Mayer recently did an interview with Playboy Magazine, and he let that good 'ol White American state of mind out. I honestly think that he was high or on some type of drug during that interview. If you notice, the interviewer is giving short, to the point questions, while John is giving these LONG 'wtf?' answers. Also, I find it funny after certain out of line answers, the interviewer changes the topic totally. So either they cut, chopped and screwed this interview to make it seem this way, OR John Mayer really does like his foot.

I need to get ahold of this "NiggerCard" he's claims he has...

Discount Alert!

So Valentine's Day is....soon right? Well I figured some of you might be stumped on what to get your "boo" so here's some help. Hopefully this post won't be taken down lol.

Go to ProFlowers.com > click on the mic in the upper righthand corner > then type in 'TJMS'

After that, you'll see all the specials available. I even posted some below that are only $20!!!

So there is no excuse why your grandma, mama, sister, or girlfriend couldn't get some flowers. I know, I know, don't thank me. Thank Tom Joyner. :-)

WTF?!

If you haven't seen the video yet, here it is. I won't even leave my thoughts. Why? Because you all know how much I can't stand to see this pathetic woman and the fact that she once wanted to represent this country and yet puts down our President while doing stupid bullsh|t like this. So no...I won't leave my comments...

BTW, according to NYmag.com, the words were,

"Energy"
"Budget cuts"
"Tax"
"Lift American spirits"

smh...Your thoughts?...

She can SING?!

Well maybe "sing" is taking it a bit too far but I was honestly surprised that she was able to even hold a note....period. We see so much of Rihanna everywhere OTHER than on stage that it almost felt odd to see her up there [and I don't count her Oprah performance...personally, I think Melanie Fiona sung it better *kanyeshrug*]. Anyways, enjoy her performance from last night's Pepsi Superbowl Fan Jam in my hometown Miami,Fl. If you ignore the crackling and the inability to hit those high notes that always seem to show up in the studio recorded versions of her songs, she actually doesn't sound too bad. Plus Im low key feeling the outfit so I'll give her a pass.

Gaga is NOT a Man!!!

lol The Grammys were 4 days ago and yet I am still hearing about Lady Gaga and her...*ahem* "weewee" lol So to put the rumors to rest, here are the most zoomed in pictures I can find from her thong leotard wearing performance and I don't see a thing....but whoever styled her was dead wrong for putting her in that size smedium costume...smh

You Will Know 2010

With all the fuss over the remake of Michael Jackson's 'We Are The World,' a friend of mine posted this video on her Facebook wall with the tag, "We need a 2010 version of this..." And you know what? She's right! Now the question is, who would be on the remake? If the best we could gather for 'We Are The World' is Lil Wayne, Kanye West [no shade]and Mr.Fonsworth Bentley then we might be in trouble.

With that said, here is the music video to Black Men United - You Will Know, featuring Aaron Hall, After 7, Al B. Sure!, Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Christopher Williams, D'Angelo, Damion Hall, El DeBarge, Gerald LeVert, H-Town, Intro, Keith Sweat, Lenny Kravitz, Lil' Joe, D.R.S., Portrait, R. Kelly, Silk, Sovory, Stokely Williams lead singer of Mint Condition, Tevin Campbell, Tony! Toni! Toné! and Usher...

Who do you think should be on 'You Will Know' remake?

....btw...I L-VE 'Jason's Lyric' lol

Master P wants to be the next BET

Did you know that Master P has his own "family friendly" television network titled "Better Black Television" or BBTV for short? Did you know that Silkk the Shocker has a talk show on there where they countdown the hottest "positive" hip-hop music videos? They even have a Madea like original sitcom "Uncle Willy's Family"....Well if you didn't know, check out BetterBlackTV.com you'll see all of this plus more.

Master P plans to have the network fully up and running sometime this year, and hopes to be the next Bob Johnson [founder of BET]. He describes his network as family friendly and very positive. Check out the lineup [courtesy of Hiphopnews]

- Sunset and Vine, a video show hosted by Vyshonn Miller [Silkk Tha Shocker] and Brittany Phillips;
- One Shot Comedy Show, hosted by Gary Johnson (a.k.a. G-Thing) and some of the funniest comedians around;
- Children's educational show Gee Gee the Giraffe;
- Manage Your Money, aimed at improving financial literacy;
- Close to the Starz, a behind-the-scenes look at celebrities;
- Karma TV Show, a bilingual soap opera with an African-American and Latino cast;
- What's Cooking TV Show, a talk show covering entertainment and current events while cooking and enjoying a good meal;
- The Black List Movies, featuring family-friendly content; and
- Hip-Hop Garage Show, featuring new and upcoming artists in their latest music videos and interviews "selected with content appropriate to BBTV's mission and standards."

This is a pretty good look for Master P. Not to mention all the stacks he'll make if this actually takes off. Too bad BET has scarred me to the point where I rarely turn the tv on as it is....
